The Schenley Park neighborhood grew from Bindley Farm along Red Road and Coral Way, which included farmland producing fruits, vegetables, and dairy products. In 1925, Adelaide Bindley Davidson sold her home to real estate investor Alfred J. Richey and his wife Dorothy, who acquired the Bindley Farm as part of a purchase and began developing the land into the residential community now known as Schenley Park.
Several years later, as the 1920s real estate boom took hold, the farm structures were demolished to make way for the Schenley Park subdivision. This development, laid the foundation for the neighborhood we know today.
Schenley Park’s streets, homes, and character reflect the vision of these early developers, blending thoughtful planning with a strong sense of community that continues to thrive nearly a century later.
